Science-writing is an institute for teaching writing scientific articles aimed at the Life Sciences.

We give two types of courses:

Scientific writing for starting scientists. This course is in principle for PhD students, but can be adapted for the MSc of BSc level.

Guiding junior scientists. This course is designed for principal investigators who are experienced authors, but have little experience in teaching beginning scientists how to write.

Most of the time the limiting factor for composing a fine paper is not so much the correct usage of the English language, but the conversion of a dataset into a well-balanced manuscript. This aspect is emphasized throughout the course, while the peculiarities of scientific English as opposed to regular written English are not forgotten.
